Senior Communications Officer
Ms Jessica Acheampong is a media professional with over a decade of experience in both Journalism and Public Relations. She holds a Master of Arts in Public Relations from the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ) in Accra, a Certificate in Petroleum, Oil & Gas Management from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) and a Diploma in
Communication Studies from the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ). Ms Acheampong also has certification in various training programs organized by players in the petroleum sector.
She worked at the Graphic Communications Group Limited (GCGL) as a Business Journalist for nine (9) years, with a responsibility of gathering and analyzing business and financial news for publication in the Company’s Flagship publication, the Daily Graphic and the Graphic Business.
Her area of focus was the extractive sector, and gained a number of media recognition awards for her write-ups on key issues in the petroleum sector.
Ms Jessica Acheampong is currently the Senior Communications Officer with the Public Interest and Accountability Committee (PIAC), a statutory body mandated with an oversight responsibility of the country’s petroleum revenues, and is responsible for coordinating all communications and information operations at the Secretariat. Her key areas of focus in her current role include Media Relations, and Digital Communication (Website and Social Media Management).
